Tom Yum Bowl

The Tom Yum bowl is wheel thrown porcelain that has been intentionally warped to give a more dynamic feel in the hand and on the table. If you're familiar with our ramen bowl, this is the same design, only smaller. This new size invites you to pick it up so these bowls were thrown thinner to maintain a comfortable weight in the hand. Take care when washing as they are more fragile than many of our other pieces. 

In addition to soup and donburi, this vessel can be used as an ikebana vessel. We recommend a 1-3/4" Kenzen if you choose to go this route. 

Each bowl is finished in an ecru crackle glaze--a nod to the Northern Thai tradition of celadon as a modern neutral. This color looks especially good in homes with relaxing beige tones.

Bowls measure 5-1/2" to 6" in diameter and 3" to 3-1/2" tall. Microwave and dishwasher safe.
