I love making teaware. Reimagining traditional objects that remain in our lives today is a tangible way for me to interact with the history of tea and clay. It's even opened a portal for me to interact with my own identity. As I've grown to love tea, my appetite for knowledge and the history of objects supporting tea practices has grown.
Researching the history of teaware drove me to pursue opportunities in wood firing and reduction firing and you'll find unique pieces from those firings featured here. Anything wood or reduction fired is limited edition. I hope you find a piece with a unique posture and/or details that you'll want to make your daily companion.
