Chrysanthemum Beveled Rectangle Dish

Beveled rectangular porcelain platter decorated in the chrysanthemum motif. Each platter is etched completely by hand and filled in with pigmented clay. The traditional chrysanthemum motif symbolizes the possibility of triumph in tough times and a reminder to be brave in the face of adversity. These lessons taken together form a larger message of longevity. The chrysanthemum motif is surrounded by a traditional fret motif that represents infinite wealth.

Each piece is decorated using the mishima technique. Every design is etched completely by hand and filled in with pigmented clay and the excess is wiped away. 

Measures approximately 9" in length, 4-1/4” wide, and 3/4" tall. 

Microwave and dishwasher safe.
